Natural born selector, Hybu spent his life to satisfy his music addiction.

From home-tapes recording during chilhood, to Sharp & easy catchy electro tracks production, Etienne allways respect his musical roots (UK pop-rock, early house...).

The 23 yrs old boy keep filling his tracks of his teenager energy, perfectly mixed up with effective classic club music influences (proof of a deep kwonledge about dance culture). After many shows in europe (alongside MJ Cole, The Toxic Avenger, Cosmo Vitelli, Plasticman (The Plastician), Mark One, Virus Syndicate, Jef K, DJ Absurd, Marvy Da Pimp, Etienne De Champfleury, Sven Love...), the frenchie gained credibility and dancefloor science.

He released tunes on Dj Absurd's ResoFantom & VCH Records (Niamor's "I'm Coming" remix is coming very soon...), banged major clubs as Nouveau Casino, La Java, Paris Paris, Djoon, Barramundi, Truskel, Mécanique Ondulatoire on Paris,Sonic Electro Club (Lille),Rodeo Club (Berlin, DE)...and shall contribute to raising the level in the next generation's game

LETRON : the soundtrack of a crazy life

LETRON a.k.a. Liana Piper, was raised on a small farm in northern Illinois.

Born into a musical family, LETRON's childhood was filled with music, live concerts, and a variety of instruments.

After just a year of college, she packed up her belongings and moved to Los Angeles where she introduced her unique sound to the folk scene under various names such as "Piper the Goon" + "Sniper Piper."

After five years of dive bars and coffee shops with her keyboard, guitar, and sometimes, an accordion, Piper the Goon was ready for bigger and better things.

She started the short-lived 2 piece piano-rock band "Blacky Lotus" with her older brother Noah on drums.

A few months after the end of "Blacky Lotus," this girl-next-door began to seriously channel her energy into perfecting her Art : she bought a MacBook. By recording, mixing, and editing her own music, "Piper the Goon" gradually transformed into the artist she is today, focusing on electronic beats, hardcore synth, and melodical raps.

Mimicking a nick name given to her a friend, she began performing under the alias "LETRON", and continues to rock the underground scene in Los Angeles.

Today i started cleaning a lil bit a bag full of cd's i used to travel with one or two years ago. I never been this kind of all-burn- on-cd's-guy, so most of selected discs are Lps & Eps, little treasures found on black market or alternative records sellers, ready to be played.

As grimes mixtapes, Dizzee Rascal's Lps, old-school jungle anthems (straight from London), rare & old Bob Marley's blends, 80's & 90's selected US hip-hop anthems (Hip-hop allstars, Slick Rick, Krs, Snoop first hits, my home-made Wu Best-Of, some Gangstarr shit...), a Movado mixtape (made by an unknown creepy-crack-head-sound-system from Kingston's ghetto), some 80's & 90's reggae mixtapes & first price reggae artists best ofs (Garnett, Beres, John Holt...), of course Supreme NTM "Paris Sous Les Bombes" LP, two cd's of my sound's dubplates, Busy Signal's Loaded Lp...

...And...Oh! South of France beach's Sand !

I Love selectin for summer trips, allways tryin' to listenin' the right tune at the right time, carryin' cds, wires, adaptors to get satisfaction.

Thomas Bangalter is back!

Je pense que le retour, bien que bref,  de l'un des Daft Punk pour un set exclusif et, qui plus est, à visage découvert, mérite amplement son article!

En effet, on a pu voir Thomas Bangalter prendre les platines lors de l'anniversaire de Busy P (aka Pedro Winter, ancien manager des Daft Punk et fondateur de Ed Banger Records).

Lors de ce set express, on a pu voir Bangalter, entouré du Ed Banger Crew, jouer 3 titres plus intemporels les uns que les autres:

"Rollin & Scratchin" produit par Thomas himself et Guyman  près de 15 ans auparavant, "Signatune" de Dj Mehdi (l'edit de Bangalter evidemment) et enfin "Rasperry Beret" de Prince. 

Et comme on pouvait s'y attendre, Bangalter a déchainé le publique du Cinespace de Los Angeles.

En plus de Thomas Bangalter, le Ed Rec crew au complet ainsi qu'A-trak ont pris pas part à cette soirée d'antologie.

Nous sommes vernis! Sieur Blaqstarr sera sur scène à Paris ce samedi!

Pour la première fois en france, le talentueux chanteur-dj-producteur va retourner le Cabaret Sauvage (Parc de La Villette 75019 PARIS M° Porte de La Villette), et j'espere que vous etes prets!

Si le Génie a commencé à mixer pour des adolescents boutonneux et turgescents dès son plus jeune âge, c'est surtout l'un des chanteurs les plus talentueux de sa génération, "influencé à la fois par John Legend & Bob Marley" selon ses propres mots, fermement implanté dans la culture Baltimore Club Music, reconnu en tant que producteur, il a également sorti plusieurs titres sur le label Mad Decent de Diplo (En collab avec Rye Rye & M.I.A.) et continue a défoncer la scène club alternative mondiale, avec comme preuves ces mixes ci-dessous!
